A generative coding entry for the FOBISIA Creative Coding Competition, exploring motion through restrained visuals.
Overview
ENKODE was our entry to the FOBISIA Creative Coding Competition: a set of generative visuals written in JavaScript that explore abstract motion.
The pieces use waveforms, pixel interference and deforming grids to build shifting digital landscapes that feel part organic, part machine. We made them in p5.js with GLSL-inspired techniques, using noise functions and oscillating patterns so each output keeps changing, and presented them as interactive, looping GIFs.
We kept the palette monochrome, the layouts clean and the motion smooth, so rhythm and contrast carry the work and each viewer can read it their own way.
