Commissioned by the City of Turku for the Museum of History and the Future international architectural competition, Studio Artegra delivered a visionary proposal that harmoniously integrates past, present, and future, reinterpreting the historical and cultural significance of Turku’s Linnanniemi district.

The project thoughtfully respects the historical prominence of Turku Castle and the rich maritime heritage of the region. Artegra’s multidisciplinary team crafted detailed visualisations, immersive animations, and sophisticated look-development studies that re-envisioned the museum not only as an innovative architectural landmark but also as a dynamic cultural hub fostering community engagement and sustainable development.

Studio Artegra’s comprehensive approach included meticulously designed landscaping, interactive wayfinding systems, and sensitively considered interior spaces that offer versatile, accessible, and inclusive environments. The museum concept establishes seamless connections to Turku’s existing urban fabric and natural surroundings, embodying forward-thinking environmental strategies and integrating sustainability throughout its design.
